Part of a pilot study, this paper presents one of the very few systematic evaluation of groups for children who have witnessed violence. It contains an evaluation of community group treatment programs focusing on feedback from the clients in the group, their perceptions of the process, and suggestions for improvement.

Holding Society Accountable: The therapeutic consequences of civil actions for damages and compensation claims by victims of sexual abuse ::1999::Feldthusen, B. Greaves, L. Hankivsky, O. Hankivsky, O. This publication reports the findings of a two-year study that examined how victims/survivors of sexual wrongdoing experience civil litigation and compensation claims. The findings reveal both therapeutic and anti-therapeutic consequences of each legal procedure, as well as ways in which each process could be improved.

This research paper was produced for Correctional Services of Canada. It explores the experiences of women participating in private family visits in federal correctional institutions. This report reflects the first concerted effort to interview women about their insights into and feelings concerning the Private Family Visits Program, with a focus on assessing women's safety during such visits.
